Right from the start, we knew we needed the kids on-board.  So we sat with them and explained what we were going to do, and why.  We explained that is some cases, kids their own age were working to make these things, instead of going to school.  Our 2 girls (6 and 8) joined in right away, and quickly became experts at reading the labels.  Our 3 year-old son, however has been a little tougher to convince.  When we tell him to put back some MiC truck or digger because we don’t buy MiC, his response is, “but I buy Made in China stuff!”
